SoulNRnB's Street Sounds Sessions 125

Brand new Street Sounds sessions featuring much Soul and big names this edition.

Cover girl Princess Freesia has 2 new releases (they're like buses, you wait for one for ages and two come along). We have the title track from her "Fateful Attraction" EP and watch out for a tune from her collabo with Soulpersona in a future mix.

Other big names include future soul from the UK's great Paul Johnson, a great ballad from a returning Avery Sunshine, Kindred the Family Soul return with some social commentary on "Everybodies Hustlin'", and all hail the return of Hip Hop legends The Roots.

But then we've also got tunes from some other great Independents like Sorceress (Previously Funkommunity), Taylor Mcferrin featuring the big talent of Haitus Kaiyote's Nai Palm, plus my favorite ballad at the moment from Ezzy Anya and "Dream".

Who says there's no good music being released at all? You just have to dig a bit deeper or stick with us at the Soul Mixtape!

DJ Grizz- Wayne Henderson Mix

Hi guys n girls! A slight departure from my planned post but I couldn't let the passing of a Jazz Funk great the other week go without tipping my hat so here's my Wayne Henderson tribute. A great brass musician from his early jazz beginnings in the 60's, through being a co-founder of the seminal Crusaders to his solo and collaborative jazz-funk LP's of the 70's and 80's not to mention producer on great LPs from Pleasure, Side Effect, Ronnie Laws and many more.

The tribute mix includes jazz dance gem I'm Staying Forever, Soul Club classic Dancin' Love Affair, some great collaborations with Roy Ayres and a solid Crusaders cut.

Hope it helps with your Easter Egg withdrawal over the coming week! Catch u next Sunday with a bucket full of Rare Grooves... Mr S up soon.
