DJ Ridym - P-Funk Mix
The Mothership Connection has landed folks and its long overdue. With George Clinton, Parliament, Funkadelic, P-Funk Allstars, Bootsy Collins, Zapp and Prince Charles its no surprise that it was a task in itself to fit in as much as I could without the mix being too long. Brides of Funkenstein, Kleeer, Sly Stone didn't make it this time but that mothership is sure to land again in the near future.
Until next time...Keep it on the one!!

DJ Ridym - Rare Soul Mix 24
Sun is out and the temperature is slowing rising which means people are starting to get their spring clean on and as everyone knows the secret to a successful clear out is picking the right type of music to inspire you! Well have no fear I'm here with some rare soul classics to get you dancing around the living room while you de-clutter!
These are the go-to tracks that make up the staple of any good rare groove session. Tracks that have stood the test of time and what I would class as the more commonly known rare grooves which in itself is a contradiction but you know what I mean! Tunes that you can sing along to while doing your chores and hopefully keep the sun shining that little bit longer.
Hope you enjoy as always and have a great week.

SoulNRnB's Solar Records Selection
Solar Records, the label that hosted greats like Shalamar, the Whispers, The Sylvers including powerhouse producer Leon Sylvers, Midnight Starr and many many more, feature in this Mix. Truth be told I could pick 3 mixes worth of tunes, but this is my selection for my nuwaveradio.net show.
Growing up, I loved this sound; Of Course, Leon Sylvers was a major factor, but groups like Collage and Midnight Starr found their place too. I'ts Valentines Day as I post this, and lets not forget, Solar had some powerhouse balladeers in the shape of the Whispers and Howard Hewett, so this mix has some real Valentines Day tunes included.
Keep an eye out for new mixes from Ridym and Grizz, I will be back soon.

10 years of #TheSoulMixtape
That’s right, it’s been 10 years since Grizz and I started this blog with the intention to spread the Soul word. In the meantime we’ve had Ridym jump on board too and we’ve produced over 1000 mixes between us.
It’s always been our intention to entertain and educate on all things black music; Whilst doing this I’ve been able to speak with musical heroes, and we’ve also been able to contribute shows to various radio stations. This has not been work, it’s made us appreciate the music we’ve loved since our youth even more.
I hope we can keep this going for another 10 years, that we can find and share new music, and old, together. Thanks to all those who’ve visited the blog, even just once. We’ve finally put a chatbox on the blog for you all to get in touch if you like, with us or each other. Thanks to all the artists who’ve contributed to the blog, and to all those whose music we’ve shared with you in our mixes.
As always, stay tuned mixtapers. And thanks.
The Soul Mixtape crew.
