DJ Grizz- The Commodores

Yet more corking tunes from a 70's Soul super group this morning ... its a Commodores mix! Know for their huge ballad pop chart hits in the early 80's and spawning a world star in Mr Ritchie, its not until I started digging out my old 70's LPs you remember what a great funky soul band they were in the early years on Motown! Saw them at Wembley in 1979 with the Emotions and there were super tight live too! Here's a selection of my personal Commodore favourites!

We kick off in funk mode with their tribute to 'built' ladies in Brick House, there's the bass slapping Slippery When Wet, off the same LP that gave us Three Times a Lady there' s a nugget in Flying High, we've some wicked wind down with Zoom and we end on the greatest Sunday morning anthem of them all- Easy... plus more Commodore goodness!

Messrs S and R up on the blog real soon and I'm back before you know it!
