SoulNRnB's Street Sounds Sessions 100
So here we are. 100 Volumes of our mixes that aim to highlight all thats new and soulful in Soul, Jazz, House, and Hip Hop. We aim to give as much credence to Independent's as we do big name, Major label artists. All that matters is the music. Here's hoping you've discovered something new over the past 100 volumes.
So, whats contained in the latest edition?
We kick off with two excellent ballads, from Tone Trezure and Tweet. Tweet gave us the slow jam of last year in "Trouble", and this is a new tune of her forthcoming release. I cant wait. There are other big names like Raheem Devaughn, Slum Village feat. Kameron Corvet, and the new release from the great Foreign Exchange who are realeasing 2 LP's this year. One a remix compilation, and their long awaited follow up to "Authenticity".
Then we have "Ones to watch" - Seravince, whose new LP you need to check out on their Bandcamp page; and the Endangered whose "Dollars" is another classy, soulful tune from them.
I'm back with an artists mix next week, I will leave you in Grizz's capable hands till then.

DJ Grizz- On a JazzFunk Tip 2
The thaw has begun in East London so time to ditch the duvet and practise some of those furious dance moves from back in the day... its Jazz Funk Tip 2.
We start the 10 with a classic from Richard Tee which I had on an old 80's Bitter Suite jazzfunk comp LP, features keyboard maestro Charles Earland, some european jazz from Urzula Dudziak, violinist Micheal White gives us a nugget that only the quickest feet could keep up with, next a couple of South American gems including Airto, Willi Bobo covers the Crusaders, a japjazz classic from Ryo Kawasaki, and finishes with a Kashif stepper from the noughties!
Mr S up next and I'll catch you next week with some more musical gold from way back when.

SoulNRnB's Street Sounds Sessions 99
Almost hit the Century when it comes to these mixes. Hopefully theyre still as strong and interesting now as they were when we started them!
More of an R&B bent to this mix which features big names like Cover star Justin Timberlake who has enlisted both Timberland and Jay Z for his comeback single; Destiny Child, due to release a best of CD, release a previously unheard Neptune's produced tune; Hip-Hop wise, Busta and Q-Tip wax lyrical on a Janet Jackson beat.....ABOUT Janet Jackson; PLUS the return of THE SYSTEM, whose new LP we've heard at the Mixtape and have got a least 4 tunes off it on rotation!!! Its GOOD.....
But then we've also got quality Jazz-Funk/Latin sounds with tunes from Glenn Underground and Lucus Arruda, a remix from Haitus Kaiyote plus much more.
Ill be back next week with an artist mix, meanwhile Grizz will keep you company at the weekend.
